Paris

The city of love, light, art… Paris, ultimately considered by many to be the most beautiful European city, and the more than 40 million visitors it receives each year can attest to its charm. Museums such as the Louvre or the Musée d’Orsay delight art fans, while fashion lovers can revel in exhibitions or the shop windows of the major European fashion houses. There are also charming neighbourhoods such as Montmartre or famous landmarks including Moulin Rouge, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame or the Arc de Triomf. Seville

Seville is so much more than flamenco and its April Fair. The capital of Andalusia in the south of Spain is one of the most charming European cities, captivating locals and tourists alike every year with its unique character. It has the largest historical centre in Spain, and one of the oldest in Europe, along with Genoa and Venice. Teeming with historical and architectural heritage, and with sights as spectacular as its Plaza de España, Seville is a jewel in the south of the Iberian Peninsula that you must see at least once in your lifetime.

Edinburgh 

The Scottish capital is absolutely magical, whatever time of year you visit it. It has one of the most beautiful historical centres in Europe, and probably the world. From its castle atop one of the city’s hills to the Royal Mile, walking around Edinburgh is to immerse yourself in the magic and history of a thoroughly unique city. Legends, mysteries, crimes, art, spectacular architecture… Need we say more about one of the most stunning locations in Europe? 

Bruges 

If you’re looking for a city that appears to have been taken from a fairy tale, then look no further than Bruges. Canals, trees, cobbled streets and buildings with facades made of stone and wood… The historic centre of Bruges, which has buildings dating from the 12th-15th centuries, looks as though it is straight out of a Brothers Grimm tale. Ideal for a quick getaway, you can enjoy sitting in one of its cafés and then stroll around marvelling at its beauty. 

Florence 

Florence, the capital of Tuscany and the quintessential city of art. Visiting this city means walking in the footsteps of renowned artists such as Leonardo or Michelangelo. With spectacular architecture that tells the history of one of the most important cities in Italy, it is one of the best European destinations for art and history lovers. Wandering around Florence is like getting lost in time, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Dubrovnik

It’s impossible not to fall in love with this pearl of the Adriatic. Its beaches have become some of the most visited each year since appearing in series such as Game of Thrones. But its history and the incredible condition of its ancient buildings make the Croatian city particularly appealing and add to its unique atmosphere. In addition to having been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is a great starting point for exploring other gems along the Adriatic coast, such as Split and the islands of Hvar and Brac. Wander along the medieval walls of Dubrovnik and enjoy a spectacular sunset as part of a dream getaway. 

Amsterdam

Amsterdam’s canals and its brick buildings are what remain in the memory of every visitor to the city. Why not let yourself get swept away by the beauty of its charming city centre and enjoy the romantic atmosphere, even on rainy days? Amsterdam offers highlights such as the Anne Frank Museum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. We recommend you take a tour of the city’s canals by boat. 

Madrid 

The Spanish capital is an ideal city to explore on foot, so don’t forget to pack a pair of comfortable sneakers. As with all major capitals, the historical and the contemporary come together in a unique atmosphere that is full of life. Through its architecture, you can learn all about its history, without forgetting, of course, the amazing restaurants and night life. It is very difficult to run out of something to do or see in Madrid, as the cultural and entertainment offer is one of the most varied in Europe.

Venice

Its canals are one of the most reproduced images on postcards and paintings of Italy, and that’s because Venice is unique. The city of canals, and one of the most beautiful European cities, is made up of more than 118 islands joined by a network of canals and bridges, giving you an unparalleled experience. Its historical architecture, palaces and works of art are an added attraction in such a magical setting. 

Salzburg

The city where the composer Mozart was born attracts a large number of tourists every year, mainly music lovers during its famous music and theatre festival. Its small historical centre is overflowing with charm and it is teeming with century-old shops located in the streets that the musician once walked.

Rome

The eternal city, the capital of Italy, is the perfect place for your dream getaway, and is almost like something out of a film. Its incredible atmosphere and the number of historical monuments and works of art is enough to make anyone dizzy. All you need to do is choose what to focus on when visiting, or the other option is to experience a bit of everything. Just don’t forget to bring a pair of comfortable shoes. 

Porto

Putting on a pair of espadrilles and visiting Porto is one of the best decisions you can take for your next getaway. It’s not only one of the most beautiful European cities, but it also stands out for its diversity, both cultural and natural, as well as its wines and special architectural combination of historical buildings, such as its churches, and buildings with a contemporary design that have won international prizes such as the Pritzker.

Cologne

Known for its Christmas market around the spectacular Gothic cathedral, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cologne is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and in Europe. Past and present come together in the works of art found in the Ludwig Museum, or in the history of National Socialism told at the Documentation Centre in the former headquarters of the Gestapo secret police. However, Cologne also has the ideal entertainment offer for those that don’t want to stand still for a second, just look at its restaurants, galleries, music venues and theatres.

Lisbon

Lisbon is romantic, cosmopolitan, lively… Lisbon is everything, and it has a charm that makes everyone fall in love with it. From its historical centre full of examples of the Portugal of yesteryear, teeming with tiles and charming houses, to the beaches and viewpoints where some of the most spectacular sunsets in Europe can be seen. The Portuguese capital is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe in its own right.

Brussels

The political centre of the European Union is more than just the European Parliament and the continent’s latest political news. The city has exceptional examples of architecture, such as the Grand-Place. But it also offers great attractions for those with a sweet tooth, such as Belgian chocolate, or a huge variety of beer for aficionados. However you look at it, Brussels does not go unnoticed.

Barcelona

This Catalonian capital has always enjoyed a high level of international renown thanks to its multicultural atmosphere and the life on its streets. You could say that Barcelona offers everything, from a huge cultural and gastronomic offer to unparalleled architecture, and, best of all, access to the beach without having to leave the city. A safe bet for travelling alone, with family or with friends. Make sure you don’t forget your flip flops in case you want to cool down in the sea when it gets hot.

London

Although not everyone considers it to be one of the most beautiful European cities, it has to be said that London offers something special that is very appealing for visitors. The capital of the United Kingdom is one of the most visited cities in the world and highlights not only include spectacular monuments and architecture, but also the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its different neighbourhoods. Notting Hill, Piccadilly, the London Eye or Camden Town are just some of the areas that attract visitors and make them want to come back.

Munich

If you want to explore one of Germany’s oldest cities, then Munich is the city for you. It was first mentioned in documents in 1158 and was founded as an important trade centre. It is full of forts and castles that will delight history lovers, such as Neuschwanstein Castle, built in the 19th century and Walt Disney’s inspiration for the castle in Sleeping Beauty.

Vienna

We cannot talk about the most beautiful cities in Europe without mentioning Vienna. A city bathed in history, where Empress Sissi’s mark can still be seen in places such as the Schönbrunn Palace. However, it is also full of gardens and cafés you can explore, or you can enjoy shows or concerts in its many theatres. The city also has one of the oldest zoos in the world.

Adventure tourism in Spain

We already knew that Spain is a prize destination. But, did you know that at the latest World Travel Awards, Huesca was chosen as the best adventure destination in Europe? The renowned magazine has highlighted the Aragonese province as the best option on the continent thanks to its broad offering to enjoy climbing, canyoning, hiking, rafting, horseback riding… Practically everything you can imagine.

But if your thing is to be closer to the sea, Spain has another destination that will fascinate you, Cádiz. There not only can you enjoy water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing or surfing with impressive waves, but also practice canyoning and rappelling in the surroundings of the Guadiaro River. Choose some practical unisex flip flops before travelling to the Cádiz coast and enjoy the thousand different plans it offers you.

Adventure tourism in France

France is also known for having many places where you can enjoy adventure trips. We have chosen the Calanques National Park, between Marseilles and Cassis. There you can choose between different excursions along the trails that will show you the treasures of its geological, plant and animal heritage. You can also swim in the incredible waters of the Calanques or enjoy water sports.

Also near Marseilles are the Pagnol and Garlaban hills, between Marseilles and Aubagne. The place invites you to discover its valleys with its hiking routes, offering a spectacular panoramic view between land and sea. If you are travelling as a couple, make sure you put a spare pair of women’s and men’s sneakers in your backpack because you’re going to need to walk as comfortably as possible. This will ensure you won’t have any problems if any unforeseen event arises. 

Adventure tourism in the United Kingdom

Choosing the United Kingdom for adventure tourism means visiting not so well-known regions and being captivated by nature in its wildest form. Therefore, for us, your first destination should be Wales. In the Snowdonia region you can follow some of the best hiking routes in our country suitable for all ages and abilities. There you can also go climbing or enjoy a day’s rafting on Llyn Tegid, the largest lake in Wales.

And, of course, let’s not forget the wild landscape of Scotland. Near Edinburgh and Glasgow you have the opportunity to discover the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The lake is the largest expanse of water in the entire United Kingdom and its tranquillity invites you to enjoy fishing, hiking, rock climbing and horseback riding.

Adventure tourism in Germany

If you thought that Germany couldn’t be an ideal destination for adventure trips, you’re very mistaken. On the coasts of Schleswig-Holstein, in the Bodden, as well as on the beaches of Mecklenburg-Pomerania you can enjoy water sports such as extreme kitesurfing or surfing on waves that will cause you more than just the occasional fall.

If you prefer to be in contact with the water without leaving the continent, you can choose to go canyoning with a totally professional team that will take you through waterfalls and caves in gorges such as Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden, Allgäu and Starzlachklamm.

Adventure tourism in Italy

When it comes to adventure tourism in Europe, nothing compares to the Italian Dolomites. These UNESCO World Heritage site mountains offer many hiking routes where you can enjoy deep valleys or visit small towns. It is also possible to find places for climbing, enjoy mountain biking routes or fly over this impressive landscape on a paraglider.

For adventure trips more in contact with water, you have the opportunity to visit the Amalfi coast and explore its sea routes on a kayak. An exceptional way to enjoy the magic of this coast that captivates more and more people from within and outside Europe every year.

Adventure tourism in Portugal

Portugal has also become a leader in adventure tourism thanks to the attractions that its nature offers. In mainland Portugal you have the opportunity to travel the 12 km long wooden path, a World Travel Awards winner, that runs along the Mondego River and is located within the Estrela Geopark, protected by UNESCO.

But if you want something more active, we recommend a canyoning and rappelling adventure in the Azores Islands. The archipelago offers spectacular experiences to visitors with the advantage of enjoying an exceptional climate throughout the year and totally wild landscape.

The 2024 festival season is just around the corner, and this year the electronic musical festivals in Europe are a big hit once again. 

The best festivals have filled the calendar with the most famous DJs and groups in the world, who seem willing once again to put on their best shows for all their fans. So you don’t miss these major musical events and gatherings, we have prepared a list of the best parties for this year in continental Europe, with the places that will bring thousands of fans of electronic music and other music styles together.

1- Tomorrowland (Belgium)

Tomorrowland, the music festival par excellence, returns for its 20th anniversary to delight electronic music lovers. Belgium has played host to one of the biggest parties in the world since 2005, when the first edition of Tomorrowland was held.

This 2024 edition promises two intense weeks of festival with a killer line-up every day and more than 400 of the best international electronic music creators. An edition that will be developed around the theme “LIFE”, a prequel to its impressive 2016 edition whose theme was “Elixir of Life”. 

For this year Tomorrowland will have up to 16 captivating stages with different atmospheres. As always, the festival will feature its famous Dreamville, a city overflowing with good energy in each of its corners.

The Belgian festival also offers a multitude of packages to attend the event, with many transportation and accommodation options that make attending the festival much easier.

2- Ultra Europe (Croatia)

The Croatian town of Split vibrates every year with the arrival of Ultra Europe 2024. The festival, which emerged in the United States, has become a leading event for electronic music fans in the European summer. 

The festival celebrates its tenth anniversary at this 2024 edition, featuring once again some of the best artists of the genre who will be present on its two stages, the Ultra Main Stage and the Resistance.

Like every year, this great festival will take place in Park Mladeži. The DJs among the line-up for 2024 include notable names such as Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell and Timmy Trumpet. Tickets are around 179 euros to attend the 3 days of the festival.

The Ultra Europe stages are complemented by the Regatta Party and the Boat Parties. The latter have revolutionised the festival since its inception, as they are a different type of party on board a yacht that can be the perfect culmination after three days of partying in Croatia.

Whether at a boat party or in the front row at your favourite artist’s concert, don’t forget to wear your favourite bikini to sport the right look for the occasion and some sunglasses with which to complete your look and also protect your eyes from the sun and the sand.

3- NOS Alive (Portugal)

“Beach by day, music by night” is the motto of NOS Alive 2024, the festival that has been held on the Passeio Marítimo de Algés in the Portuguese capital since 2007. Already a mainstay of the European festival scene, at NOS Alive there is room for all musical styles.

Two stages, the NOS Stage and the Heineken Stage, host artists of the stature of Dua Lipa, The Smashing Pumpkins, Arcade Fire, Sum 41, Pearl Jam and Aurora among many others. A true delight for lovers of music and the sea.

4- Creamfields (United Kingdom)

August is a perfect time to visit Britain. Especially if we consider that Creamfields is held then, an electronic music festival that has been attracting the world’s most important DJs since 1998.

Its line-up for the 2024 edition includes such renowned names as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix and Tiësto, who will gather in Daresbury to ensure attendees enjoy the summer edition of Creamfields.

The festival also has a luxury camping area for those who want to go to the festival, something that is appreciated for people arriving from other parts of the planet.

Although Creamfields is not held by the sea, there is no doubt that the August heat will do its thing, so you better not forget your cap.

5- Sónar (Spain)

The city of Barcelona is one of Spain’s greatest cultural exponents. And of course, it hosts one of the most important electronic music festivals in Europe.

Sónar is not only defined by music, but by its emergence as a festival of experimental origin that also adds sections of creativity and technology to its slogan to become one of the most important events in the city of Barcelona.

DJs of all genres come together with artists such as Tommy Cash, Charlotte de Witte, Vince Staples, Judeline and Folamour. The list of artists signed up for Sónar Barcelona 2024 has already reached 70, but promises to continue growing as the event date approaches.

At this year’s edition, the festival maintains its commitment to creative innovations for the future and the exploration of the latest trends with new talks and workshops on technology, fusing innovation and culture in the Sónar+D space.

If you’re going to Barcelona, don’t forget to enjoy its beaches. Prepare your sunscreen, get ready to have a good time and don’t forget to bring a backpack to store your things. And don’t forget your favourite Havaianas flip flops either!

6- World Club Dome (Germany)

The city of Frankfurt hosts one of the largest electronic music events in Germany at its Deutsche Bank Park. BigCityBeats World Club Dome is a festival that hosts well-known techno artists such as Moguai, Steve Aoki and David Guetta, who will make the 25 stages of this great festival vibrate.

Its Future Edition will be held in September 2024. The festival not only takes place in the summer, but also includes other festivals in its repertoire such as the World Club Dome Winter Edition, the World Club Dome Pool Sessions and the World Club Dome Island Edition.

Tickets for the three days of the festival cost around 199 euros, a fairly reasonable figure considering that 250 artists will gather at this edition. You can also purchase one-day tickets for 114 euros. And if you don’t want to miss the festival or the subsequent Pool Sessions you can buy the three-day VIP ticket for 377 euros.

7- We Love Green (France)

The city of light takes advantage of the spring weather to bring together world-class artists at We Love Green. This festival held in Bois de Vincennes (Paris) will feature live concerts by internationally renowned artists such as Sza, Troye Sivan, L’Imperatrice, Omar Apollo and Peggy Gou.

The We Love Green festival is the perfect excuse not only to enjoy 3 days of good music, but also to visit the city of Paris, one of the most beautiful on the European continent.

The 2-day pass will only cost 119 euros, being able to choose the days of the festival on which your favourite artists perform.

The festival is also very committed to sustainability, something that saw it awarded the ISO 20121 certificate for the use of responsible event management systems at its 2023 edition.

8- Flash Festival (Italy)

Tuscany hosts one of the best festivals in Europe very close to the city of Florence. An opportunity to enjoy the best of electronic music and the Tuscan spring excellently accompanied by a tasting of the best Italian food so you can spend the entire day at the festival.

Salute, Krystal Klear and Elkka are some of the artists that you will have the chance to listen to if you go to Italy in the month of May, being one of the festivals that opens the summer season in Europe.

9- Amsterdam Music Festival (Netherlands)

At the end of summer and beginning of autumn, the music doesn’t stop. October is a perfect month to visit the city of Amsterdam and enjoy one of Europe’s best-known festivals.

A single day was enough at the AMF to bring together international DJs of the stature of Afrojack, Charlotte de Witte and Headhunterz at its 2023 edition, with the 2024 edition now beginning to warm up to surpass its predecessor. The eternal party city will vibrate that day like no other, even more so considering that attendees will have afterparties at the best venues in Amsterdam.

10- Sziget Festival (Hungary)

One of Europe’s most party-loving countries just had to be on our list. Hungary has been holding some of the best electronic music festivals on the continent for years.

What makes the Sziget Festival special is that it takes place on an island in the Danube River, an incredible location to enjoy the world’s best artists of all styles. Fred Again, Sam Smith, Stormzy, Honey Dijon and Joker Out are just some of the names present in Budapest on the line-up for this August.

Not only can you go to the festival, but you can also sleep there thanks to the different accommodation options they offer. Undoubtedly, one of Europe’s best festivals in 2024.

11- Rock in Rio (Portugal)

We return to Portugal to enjoy one of the most iconic festivals this summer. The Rock in Rio festival is preparing a very special edition, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary in the Portuguese capital.

The line-up for this 2024 edition is a celebration of the history of the festival where Scorpions, Evanescence, Europe, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Camila Cabello and the Spanish singer Aitana are just some of the artists who can be seen on stage during the four days of the festival.

This festival will take place in one of the most emblematic parks of the Portuguese capital, Parque Do Tejo. Rock in Rio Lisbon has also achieved numerous recognitions throughout its history for its sustainability and commitment to a better future.

12- Jova Beach Party (Italy)

The Jova Beach Party is much more than a festival. It is a succession of festivals that take place over the summer months in different parts of Italy.

Although the Jova Beach Party festival is scheduled once again this year, the reality is that the specific dates are not yet known. What is expected is that it will repeat its format, with different locations across Italy, including some of the best beaches in the country.

This unconventional festival has found a place in the summers of all Italians and little by little in those of all Europeans who make Italy their holiday destination.

13- Boardmasters (UK)

Boardmasters defines itself as a unique surf and music festival. All attendees will be able to enjoy not only artists of the calibre of Stormzy, Kenya Grace, Becky Hill, Declan McKenna and Nia Archives, but also one of the meccas of British surfing which is Cornwall.

The festival is held in Newquay and features stages such as the Main Stage, Land of Saints Stage, The Point Stage, Unleashed Stage, The View Stage and the DB90 Stage. But also, at Fistral Beach, you will have the opportunity to enjoy surf competitions and skate or BMX events.

In addition to music and surfing, this festival is notable for alternative activities such as yoga workshops, relaxation classes and much more besides. 

It is also important to mention that, as part of its sustainability programme, the organisers manage several clean-ups of the festival areas.

14- Delta Festival

Last but not least, we return to a Mediterranean paradise. The Delta Festival is held in the city of Marseilles, on the shores of the Mediterranean at Les Plages du Prado.

It is a festival where, along with the best dance and electronic music, you can enjoy different sports and arts, as well as the beach! 

In this rendez-vous for its tenth anniversary, artists such as Astrix, Justice, Ofenbach, Vladimir Cauchemar and Martin Solveig will be performing. There is no doubt that it will be the perfect festival to bring the summer to a close.

Day 1: Discovering the Brazilian coast

Brazilian beaches are one of its great attractions, but there’s no better way to see its coast than by boat. Departing from Marina da Gloria, our ambassadors took a fun boat ride in Guanabara Bay, stopping in Urca for a swim under the imposing Christ the Redeemer statue.

Day 2: Discovering the origins of Havaianas

On the second day of the trip, our ambassadors visited unique sites such as the Escadaria Selarón, known throughout the world for its iconic ceramic steps, a must-see for all visitors. They also visited the futuristic Museu do Amanha, dedicated to science and designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. In addition, they had the opportunity to visit the Museu de Arte do Rio, where they enjoyed a special exhibition on the history of funk in Brazil and its impact on fashion.

But the high point of the day was a visit to the Havaianas flagship store in Ipanema, where they assembled their own kit of brand pieces and even received exclusive t-shirts customised by Brazilian designer Victor Hugo Mattos.

Day 3: Experiencing the carnival!

Our ambassadors’ trip ended with the most anticipated event, the Vogue Carnival Ball. One of the most important events in Brazil and a true exhibition of style, modernity and fashion at which Havaianas plays a special role. The best looks combined with flip flops and sandals with which the influencers and all the guests let themselves go to the rhythm of the music. Undoubtedly a final dream night to round off an unforgettable experience.

Havaianas at Vogue Carnival Ball

“GALÁCTIKA” was the theme chosen for the 2024 edition of the Vogue Carnival Ball. This event held at the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro marks the start of the famous Brazilian carnival and has become in recent years an unmissable event for fashion and carnival lovers.

This exclusive party had almost 1,800 guests who swayed in this atmosphere where fashion and extravagance meet for one night. In a labyrinth of metallic and bright colours in which holographic effects reigned, our ambassadors and all attendees had the opportunity to explore their most futuristic and extraterrestrial side.With stylistic references ranging from the space-inspired sixties style like that of Star Trek to avant-garde space futurism, the night offered surprising looks from all the guests. Havaianas also had an activation point which remained open throughout the event and where, in addition to a large photocall, they could find flip flops and gift bags.
