Oh, Christmas! The lights, gatherings with friends and family, eating out, making toasts, celebrating… and the presents. Even if you’re a big fan of giving Christmas gifts, it’s still possible to run out of ideas. Think about it, some people are harder to buy for because they have everything… or because it’s difficult to find something they’re going to really like.

And because this time of year is for enjoying, we decided to help out by suggesting some Christmas gift ideas, so you just have to decide which one best suits what you are looking for. The Havaianas Christmas gift guide also contains recommendations for gifts to give to everyone.

Original Christmas gift ideas for women

When it comes to finding the perfect gift for someone, the best thing is to know them really well. What they like, what will excite them, their hobbies… the little details that can help you choose something they will definitely like. However, you don’t have to always ask the person in question, you can come up with the best ideas just by being a little bit more observant than usual.

Of course, if you don’t have enough time for this, then here are some original gift ideas for you.

The exclusivity of handmade items

Some handmade items or creations from independent designers are as unique as this time of year. Among our Christmas gift ideas for women, we suggest a handmade piece of jewellery, a bag, a shawl or a scarf. All you need is to find something that best suits their style.

Incredibly fresh skincare routine

If the woman in question is a true skincare lover, then a small fridge for storing her favourite cosmetics could be a hit. That way she can spend a few minutes pampering herself every day to start the morning on a positive note or to wind down at the end of the day.

Travel lovers

Does she travel frequently both for work and pleasure? Then perhaps a good gift idea for your girlfriend, mum or sister would be a… carry-on suitcase that is the perfect size for hand luggage to hold all of their necessities for any destination. A good pair of slippers is also the ideal gift for a tireless traveller. You can put them inside the case and give them two gifts in one!

All about relaxation

Maybe the woman you’re giving to has a lot of stress in her daily life and could do with a little bit of relaxation. What better than to gift her a day spa experience? You could also add a pair of women’s flip flops for her visit.

Go big!

Giving tickets to a concert or musical to someone who would love to see their favourite artist live is always a guaranteed success. It doesn’t have to be a concert, it could be theatre tickets for a musical, etc. The key thing is to think about what they like and gift them an unforgettable experience.

Original Christmas gift ideas for men

People often say that finding gifts for men is harder than for women, but as mentioned earlier, there is nothing like paying attention to the details that make the person in question happy in order to find the perfect present. We hope these Christmas gift ideas for men help you when it comes to buying at this time of year.

Rapid-fire

Do they like music? Video games? Then a pair of headphones could be a good option. You could choose wireless headphones or something more discreet and easy to wear for the daily commute. Whatever you decide, there are many options that will suit that person’s lifestyle perfectly.

Well-equipped

If the person in question loves hiking, day trips, the beach or simply uses one every day, a backpack could be a great choice, always making sure it is comfortable for that person’s back.

A toast to all

Perhaps your dad or partner has become a real barman lately. Why not take advantage of that hobby and encourage them to take it further? Gift them a cocktail set with the perfect glasses to serve their latest creations so that they won’t enjoy them alone.

Under cover

Whether it’s their usual style or just for trips or going to the beach, a well-designed cap with a generous visor could be a winning Christmas gift idea. You could always take advantage and choose a more modern design or their favourite colour. And if you’re looking for something more for everyday use, why not buy them a nice, original tracksuit?

For retro lovers

If you’re looking for a gift for a music lover, you have loads of options, but a record player could be a great idea, especially if they like all things vintage. Choose a suitcase-style record player or something more modern. What’s important is for them to be able to enjoy their vinyl discs… you could also complete your gift by buying their favourite disc.

Original Christmas gift ideas for children

The smallest members of the household are usually the easiest to buy for at Christmas, but you don’t need overwhelm them with toys in order to make them happy. Here are some Christmas gift ideas for children.

A soaring imagination

Superheroes, princesses, animals… a costume is always a good idea for children who love pretending to be their favourite characters. Let their imagination fly!

Sleeping with the best

It may be one of the most traditional gifts, but it’s also one that children will definitely use. Give them pyjamas featuring characters from their favourite series or comic books and they will look forward to getting into bed.

The best stimulation

There’s nothing like encouraging reading from an early age, that’s why we believe that one of the best gifts you can give to children is books. Look for a theme they will like and is suitable for their age so they can read it themselves and enjoy the story.

Go for it!

Not everyone is lucky enough to live in a place where it’s warm enough to bathe all year round. But if the child in question loves water, why not gift them a swimsuit and some children’s flip flops? As with the pyjamas, you can find them with their favourite characters. Everything’s a bonus!

It’s all about the rhythm

The last Christmas idea we’re going to give you may not be to the parents’ liking, but it is definitely the best option for stimulating children. Giving them a musical instrument will not only allow them to enjoy music from another perspective, but may also help them discover a vocation that will help them in the future.

Europe is full of beautiful towns at Christmas, why not get to know them with us.

Colmar (France)

If we said that Colmar is considered the little Venice of France, you would get an idea of how amazing it might be to spend a few days there over Christmas. This medieval town with wooden houses and renaissance buildings fills with lights, nativity scenes and Christmas markets in this period, both for visitors and those who live there to enjoy. It is undoubtedly one of the Christmas towns you can’t miss out on.

The first time you see Gstaad, you might think it’s straight out of a film. A small mountain town full of wooden houses where some of Switzerland’s most exclusive hotels, ski slopes and shops are located. And as exclusive as its shops and spas (don’t forget your flip flops when you go) are the Christmas festivities that are held there. Advent market, classical music concerts, visits from Father Christmas and even sleigh rides.

Flam (Norway)

Flam is another town to visit at Christmas that you should definitely include on your list. It is located in Aurlandsfjord, and although it’s not very big, it is one of the most beautiful settings to visit at this time of year. Its Flamsbana train has enthralled thousands of visitors, almost as much as its small farms, mountains, valleys and, of course, the charm of the Christmas period with the lights and decorations.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Germany)

Another beautiful town is Rothenburg ob der Tauber, in the German state of Bavaria. During the Christmas period, it is home to one of the prettiest markets in the area, where children can meet Father Christmas and adults can enjoy concerts and night-time walks to see the lights in all their glory. If you go, don’t forget to take a comfortable backpack to store everything you buy.

Ochagavía (Spain)

You can also enjoy some of these charming towns at Christmas in Spain. A clear example is Ochagavía in Navarra, on the edge of the magical Irati forest. Its rural architecture from the 11th century, stone façades and slate roofs form an idyllic image that only increases when snow falls and it is decorated for Christmas. An ideal destination if you are also looking for walking routes to enjoy nature, as well as the Christmas atmosphere.

Alsace is a region full of incredible towns to visit at Christmas with children, one of which is Riquewihr. There is the renowned Wine Tour, but the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas shop can also be found among its medieval houses full of wooden details, a place that specialises in Christmas decorations and that becomes a hive of people looking for that special detail with which to decorate their home.

Back in Spain is Buitrago de Lozoya, a medieval town in the Sierra Norte of Madrid, that during the Advent and Christmas period becomes a magical location for lovers of these festivities. Customize your Havaianas footwear for this autumn

Your footwear must be comfortable and perfectly adapted to your feet and your daily lifestyle. When buying footwear, it’s normal to want it to be trendy, to follow the season’s colours or to stand out from the rest in some way.

It’s not always possible to find those unique pieces, so we would like to propose something today. Why not customise your trainers? Investing some time and skill into customising your footwear can help you achieve unique shoes that reflect your personality and style

But if you don’t know where to start, don’t worry, Havaianas will give you some ideas so you can complete your wardrobe and your 2024-2025 autumn-winter collection.

If you’re a dab hand…

Imagine you want to customise a pair of canvas trainers or espadrilles and you love flowers and plants. If you’re a dab hand or you would like to give embroidery a try, why not create a little garden at your feet? Embroider your favourite flowers in different stitches and spring will follow you wherever you go. And for the more daring brides-to-be, this option is the perfect change of footwear for their wedding day.

Flag bearers

Maybe the shoes you want to customise are your Havaianas. That’s right, the ones you wear every single day in summer. Well, you’re in luck, because we’ve been thinking about how to do that and we’ve come up with a great idea. What if you decorate them with one of the charms we have created especially for you? Just clip your favourite ones onto the straps and you’re good to go.

Masters of painting

Some people are incredibly talented when it comes to drawing and painting, and that’s who we had in mind when proposing the following: turn your trainers into a tribute to your favourite series or film. Think carefully about the design, choose the characters or symbols you want to include, buy special fabric paints… and start painting!

Trés chic

Customising your trainers and making them one of your chicest accessories is so easy that you’ll probably wonder why you hadn’t thought of it before. Our suggestion? Buy satin or velvet ribbon in your favourite colour or in black, always a hit in this season, and use it to replace traditional laces. The bows will stand out against the sporty style of the shoe, making it appear more elegant and sophisticated.

Stylish even at home

Sometimes we don’t pay attention to the shoes we wear at home, other than making sure they are comfortable or warm enough in the winter months. But why give up on making your slippers a bit more special just because you don’t leave the house in them. With special fabric glue and embroidered patches or appliqués, you can transform your slippers You’ll want to put them on as soon as you get home! Even more so if the base is animal print.

Shine bright like a diamond

A touch of sparkle never hurts, especially when you’re by the sea or pool. So, if you’re not convinced by any of our flip flops, you can always customise your flip flops. All you need is contact glue, crystals in your favourite colour or a seasonal shade such as maroon, and a lot of patience to cover your straps in them. You can also combine these crystals with our charms

Like a gift

Bows are all the rage and you can customise your espadrilles to go with this trend. All you have to do is choose a pair of espadrilles or mule espadrilles that you like and buy some ribbon in the colour of your choice to make a big bow. Once you have a bow for each one, you can sew or glue them onto the front and heel to make them even more special.

Careful, I’m spiky!

If you go for more of a rocker look but you can’t live without your trainers, you’re bound to love this proposal. Grab those lace-up trainers you never take off and go to a craft shop or haberdashery, where you can buy studs and spikes to make those dull but comfortable trainers an essential for any look.

Emerging designers

Maybe you’re clear on the fact that you want a unique pair of trainers, but you don’t really know how to achieve this or which design to choose. If you have little ones at home, why not play with them and find out if there’s a budding fashion designer in the family? Take some fabric paints and give them total freedom to draw whatever they want. There won’t be any other like these and their love will always accompany you, even when they’re at school.

Fringed and crazy

Taking advantage of the fact that fringes are another of this season’s trends, why not put them on your shoes? You can choose espadrilles, trainers or even flip flops. All you need to do is buy a strip of faux suede fringe at your local haberdashery to give your footwear a slightly wilder look.
